The MSC Wiley Lecture Series presents: “Deciphering Dominance: A Modern Cold War” the program will discuss the rise of China, and the implications that their growing sphere of influence poses. The multidisciplinary panel will seek to address the avenues of intensifying conflict between the United States and China. There will be a strong emphasis on the ways in which international confrontations occur through economic, military, and technological competition. Through trade policies, competitive investment abroad, and military strength the two powers seem to be competing in a manner similar to Cold War power politics. How can this power struggle of intelligence, military, and economics play a role in shaping the future? Panelists will discuss this relationship and unveil the new nature of our world order while considering how this might have an effect on the international system.
