What is PREP about?

Progressively Reaching Excellence in Professionalism (PREP) is entering its eighteenth year at Texas A&M University and is excited to welcome a new class of freshmen members!

PREP is a Freshman Leadership Organization dedicated to helping students grow socially, professionally, and personally throughout their first year at Texas A&M. Through meaningful friendships, professional development, service opportunities, and leadership experiences, PREP provides members with a strong foundation for success both during college and beyond.

Our close-knit community and committee structure allow members to develop valuable leadership skills while building lasting relationships with their peers and mentors. PREP also provides opportunities to connect with industry professionals, develop essential professional etiquette, and grow into leaders and people of exceptional character.

PREP is composed of 56 freshmen members, 14 sophomore staff members, and 4 junior executive staff, creating a close community where every member has the opportunity to grow and make meaningful connections.

Our mission is to give freshmen the opportunity to interact with one another while learning the essentials of professionalism, leadership, and character as they establish themselves at Texas A&M.

PREP Requirements

Dues are $235 for the entire year. Assistance programs are available as needed.

Dues help fund organization-wide social events and competitions, professional workshops, service and philanthropy events, retreats, and free PREP shirt.

Members are expected to attend required weekly PREP general meetings every Wednesday night, followed by weekly committee meetings.

Members will have opportunities to participate in a variety of social, professional, and service events throughout both the Fall and Spring semesters.

PREP hosts multiple retreats and organization-wide events designed to strengthen relationships and develop leadership skills.

Informationals are not mandatory but are a great opportunity to learn more about PREP and meet our staff! Dates and locations are subject to change.

Interviews — September 23rd through September 29th
Interviews will be held in person on weekdays.

Freshmen Rev Night — October 5th
