SGA Representation Commission
Howdy! The SGA Representation, formerly the SGA Diversity Commission, is dedicated to ensuring every Aggie is represented at Texas A&M.
We actively engage in outreach to advocate for and educate students, while also facilitating the difficult but necessary conversations that foster a more welcoming and cohesive campus environment.
We deeply value the core principles of Texas A&M and are committed to enhancing the Aggie experience by helping to create an open and supportive community. As our campus grows, it is essential that every Aggie is represented in conversations, discussions, and on campus. Through our work, we strive to strengthen the campus community and ensure that all Aggies have the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their unique identities.
Mission
"To serve Texas A&M University by ensuring every student is represented, addressing campus needs through targeted programming, and providing leadership development opportunities to enrich the overall quality of student life."
Values
Support: Championing the voices and needs of underrepresented students by promoting fair access to resources, opportunities, and advocacy for all Aggies.
Community: Fostering a true sense of belonging by working across campus to remove barriers, build connections, and ensure every student feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to succeed.
Respect: Upholding the dignity of all students by embracing the diversity of thought, background, and identity that strengthens the Aggie community.
We don't have general members; everyone serves in a Chair, Vice President, or Exec position. We work throughout the year to amplify student voices to resources and the University through our events and conversations.
